The Tulare Cherry Tree is a new and distinct patented variety of cherry due to exceptional storage and shipping properties and its high quality fruit production a week or so earlier than Bing. Therefore, adding an early extension to the prized fresh cherry market for Bing-like sweet cherries. Tulare not only is another outstanding, sweet, red, Bing-like cherry, but is also touted for its exceptionally low chilling requirement of only 400 hours. Along with Brooks and Coral, Tulare brings fantastic new possibilities for home orchards across the South. Grows in zones 6-9b.
